Ingredients

  • 180 ml milk (ideally whole, but skim worked fine)
  • 120 ml water
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 450 cups flour (about 3 1/2)
  • 1 tsp salt

steps:

  1. warm milk and water together in microwave
  2. add in sugar and yeast, let rest for a second to activate
  3. whisk in melted butter and egg
  4. add in flour and salt
  5. mix and knead – add flour as needed
  6. let rest for an hour ish or until doubled at least in size
  7. weight and divide by 14
  8. shape / knead into English muffin shape
  9. let rest for an hour
  10. lightly oil pan and set on low (between 2-3)
  11. cook on stove for 4 minutes or so per side
  12. poke sides when they’re cooling ish with a fork so its an easy open and you don’t have to use a bread knife
  13. slather in butter probably

eat w lots of butter and or eggs
