went for a 5K today – and proceeded to bake cookies. this is what balance looks like.
ingredients:
yeild – 3 dozen ish
- 1 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup white sugar
- .5 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1.5 cup old fashioned oats (not instant)
- 1.5tsp baking soda
- salt (depending on whether or not butter is already salted)
- about half a bar of bakers semi sweet chocolate chopped up
- a decent amount of cinnamon
TIPS:
- could not find the electric mixer today SO we used a whisk when mixing the butter with the sugar and honestly… turned out pretty solid still. so do as you please. or consider it an arm workout idc.
- melt the butter and mix with the sugar — THEN once everything is combined, put the cookie dough in the fridge for 15ish minutes – WAY easier to handle / shape the cookie size than it its room temperature and sticky.
- for future reference… almond extract in chocolate chip cookies is my 10/10 secret baking tip… this was not used today because we’re being socially responsible and not going to metro specifically for almond extract.
